Leather care

Leather is a unique and durable material that requires special care to keep it looking its best. Here are some guidelines on how to properly care for leather garments:

Washing leather

For general cleaning of leather garments, we recommend consulting a leather specialist, as leather is a delicate material.

However, you can gently wipe leather with a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove surface dirt and dust. It's important to avoid using excessive water or harsh chemicals, as they can damage the leather. Before applying any cleaning product, it's advisable to test it on a small, inconspicuous area of the garment. Additionally, refrain from using colored cloths or detergents during the cleaning process.

Drying leather

If your leather garment becomes wet, gently pat it dry with a clean, absorbent cloth. Avoid using heat sources or direct sunlight to speed up the drying process, as it can cause the leather to crack or lose its natural oils. Allow the garment to air dry naturally in a well-ventilated area away from heat.

Storing Leather

When not in use, store leather garments in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Avoid using plastic bags or covers, as they can trap moisture and cause mold or mildew.

Instead, use a breathable fabric garment bag or wrap leather items in a clean cotton sheet to protect them from dust. Hang leather garments on padded or wide-shouldered hangers to help maintain their shape.
